March Spring Break Road Trip to San Diego!

Altogether we only had 3 days in San Diego, but because we chose to drive down there it took us 2 full days of travel....but aside from the sunburn we had a fabulous time!

Sunset Cliffs.....
We just went for a little drive and found this amazing coastline next to the ocean!

Seal Harbor Cove....all of those little dark specs are seals! There were so many of them!
And you could walk really close up to them!

There were probably around 75 seals just resting on the beach here!

Our poor sunburnt selves....we had to go to the store to get some aloe vera and didn't end up leaving the hotel until the afternoon because we were so miserable!

Balboa Park
Since we got so sun burnt the day before at the beach, we decided to go to Balboa Park and spend the majority of the day indoors at the Body Worlds Exhibit! The traveling exhibit which showcases real human bodies....it was really interesting!

The Coronado Bay Bridge!

The Famous Hotel Del Coronado!

After the beach we headed downtown San Diego to Seaport Village for happy hour.
They had "stimulus package" and we were able to order a few appetizers for only $2!

You can kind of tell in this pic that we actually did get burnt....but we felt like we didn't get any sun! Boy were we in for a surprise later! We got so sun burnt!

La Jolla Shores
The very first full day we had in San Diego we headed straight to the beach!
Again, I think we got there around 12 pm and it was still so foggy! We decided to lay out and ended up getting so fried! No one told us about the marine layer and how you get burnt faster when its foggy!

So foggy! But we still went swimming and tried to get a tan!

Second stop in Santa Barbara, CA.
No wonder there is so much talk about this place! It was absolutely gorgeous there!

View from the Pier

One of the many beautiful beaches in Santa Barbara....
Butterfly Beach!

First stop at Half Moon Bay, CA
It was still pretty early in the morning, so it was still pretty foggy and cold!
