I can't believe we have been blessed with her presence for half of a year already!

she has been practicing her crawling technique lately

she will be sitting up and lean forward and post her arms and sit on her knees in a crawling stance

she will then reach for something that is just a little to far

and she will just flatten right onto her tummy.

she is sure getting the hang of it and will be crawling in no time!

I don't know if we are ready for that yet! :)

a year ago we renewed our vows....

I am kind of on a roll for slide shows so I thought I should compile one from our Renewal of Vows last year. In one sense I cannot believe it has already been a year and then I look at our precious daughter and realize it has been a magical one! :) I think I am going to try to make it a tradition to make a slideshow of each year of marriage from now on. It was so much fun to watch our videos together with a nice glass of champange to toast to second year of marriage!

P.S. Animoto is an amazing web site that helps make these videos. All you do is upload your photos, pick a soundtrack and they put it all together for you! It is pretty sweet! It definitely takes me quite a bit of tweaking to get EXACTLY what I want, but we all know I am a little too detail-oriented sometimes.
(side-note: in order to get a full-length video like these you have to pay a member-ship fee of like $20/year. But, I think it is totally worth it. And..if you do become a member you can make your videos into DVD quality so you can watch them on your tv at home! This is what we have done with a few of the videos so far and it is really amazing quality! Man, I think I should get paid for promoting this site! :)

visit to see hannah and new baby caden

Wow, already over a month ago we went to visit Hannah and Caden. He was just a tiny little guy then (about 7 weeks old I think). It is amazing how quickly you can forget how tiny they are when they are so brand new! She lives over in the East Bay out in a town called Walnut Creek and it immediately reminded me of why I would love to live in the suburbs! It was WARM and actually felt like summer there, the sun was shining, they probably have a Target, and parking doesn't seem to be an issue. But, the commute doesn't sound very appealing....apparently it can take upwards of an hour and a half to get to UCSF. So, I guess we are loving our location right across the street from UCSF for the moment!

Hamish and Maya had fun testing out all of Caden's toys that he hasn't had a chance to play with yet!
